What is 10 PPM diesel?
10 PPM diesel — also called Ultra-Low-Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) — is a refined diesel grade whose sulphur content does not exceed 10 parts per million. It complies with the European EN 590 standard adopted by the UAE as UAE.S 5240, and is the cleanest commercial diesel widely available in the country.
Why does sulphur content matter?
Sulphur in fuel turns into sulphur oxides (SOx) and fine particulate matter during combustion. Lower sulphur means cleaner exhaust, less corrosion inside the engine, and full compatibility with modern after-treatment systems such as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) used in Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles.
